Brush, Grass and Weeds No person, firm or corporation owning or occupying any property within the Borough of Youngwood shall permit any grass or weeds or any vegetation whatsoever, not edible or planted for some useful or ornamental purpose, to grow or remain upon such premises so as to exceed a height of six (6) inches or to throw off any unpleasant or noxious odor or to conceal any filthy deposit or to create or produce pollen. Any grass, weeds or other vegetation growing upon any premises in the borough in violation of any of the provisions of this section is hereby declared to be a nuisance and detrimental to the health, safety, cleanliness and comfort of the inhabitants of the borough. Violations and penalties Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate or fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than three hundred dollars ($300) and cost of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed thirty (30) days. Each days violation shall constitute a separate offense, and notice to the offender shall not be necessary in order to constitute an offense. Chapter 71: Fire Lanes The following restrictions shall apply to all designated and established fire lanes or zones and to any previously established fire lanes or zones in the borough:
Violations and penalties Any person, corporation or other entity who shall violate any provision of this chapter, in addition to any other provision or penalties established by the ordinances of the borough or the laws of the commonwealth, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not more than fifteen dollars ($15.), plus costs of prosecution; provided however, that each day constitutes a separate violation and offense; further, the borough, through its designated code enforcement officer or other official, shall have the further right, where the same is applicable, after two (2) days’ notice to the party in violation, to have removed any foresaid violating object, at the sole cost and expense of the violator. |
